None of our secrets will vanish, for all the words cannot be told when the secret is told, it will not be endangering, nobody will discover it nor what it is nor whether the secret is a dream or real.
Vamos
al Cuzco Expeditions is pleased to present a seminary of four days about
the Ayahuasca. We will penetrate into the deep knowledge of the ancestral
secrets of the mother of plants: the Ayahuasca. With your permission we
will establish a profound bond between our extra-sensorial states and
the mother earth in order to attain deep states of consciousness that
will mark for us the path of our direct connection with the shaman energies
of perception and the equilibrium of our own energies. Participation in
itself is fundamental for those who wish to know in depth shaman techniques,
the development of perception, the equilibrium of the three shaman worlds
and your own development. |

What is the Ayahuasca?
Many
thousands of years ago, the natives from all over the Amazon Jungle used ritually
with medicinal, religious and social ends a mysterious brew known also as “yagé,”
“caapi,” “oni,” “natema,” and by other various local names. Ayahuasca is the
Quechua naming. It means “vine of the spirits.” (“Aya” denotes spirit as well
as ancestry and soul; “Huasca” means vine and/or rope.). This vine, a type of
“malpighiacea” whose scientific name is Banisteriopsis caapi, gives the name
to the brew, composed basically by its concoction of leaves of “chacruna” (Psychiotra
viridis), together with other plants, cactus, and psycho-active fruits that
sometimes are added according to the circumstances and the requirements.
Its first isolated alkaloid was named “telepathica” by virtue of the telepathic
experiences that were usually produced under its influences. Later chemical
investigations discovered that really it was a mixture of harmina, harmalina,
tetrahydraharmina and dimethyltriptamina (DMT). The last ingredient was present
in the leaves of chacruna and in other various species. The effect revealed
itself to be similar, but not identical, to the effect produced by the Peyote
and San Pedro cactus. Massive avoidance of the plant followed due to this similarity,
due to the sophisticated biochemical interaction with which acted the Ayahuasca
and also, above all, the resemblance of the structure of DMT (that also is generated
in the human body while dreaming) with Seratonin. Nevertheless the knowledge
acquired through scientific methods is too limited to obtain sufficient data
about this sacred potion.
Numerous studies conducted in Brazil, Spain, the United States and other countries
have demonstrated not only does the ayahuasca not have any harmful properties
for the body, but also that it has been verified to provide physical, psychic
and spiritual liberation, the ethical regeneration and healthy experiences in
the appropriate context and the necessary precautions. Despite this and because
of its taste and its purgative effects, it is a substance not inclined for irresponsible,
recreational uses. It is essential that it is taken in the presence of a shaman
who through sacred chants (named Icaros) will achieve the permissions and the
connection necessary with the mother of plants in order to realize the ceremony.

Search of spiritual illumination, psychotherapy, self-help, introspection, utilization of rituals and artistic expression. Expansion of conscience. The MDMA is a “entactógeno.” “Enteógeno” means generation of the inner god. “Entactógeno” means touching the inner self.
One of the more interesting proofs of investigation occurred in Nicaragua in 1994 in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) or “Traumas of War,” formed by the psychological damage as result of torture and violent traumas. In the preliminary study, 20 “incurable” cases were treated with MDMA, It was a blind study, meaning that the subjects were not informed of the medication they were taking. When they began to feel its effects, the majority of the patients spontaneously formed a circle and started to speak of the horrors of the war and of how they never wished to return to fighting again. After one week, each one was interviewed by a psychiatrist and some were cured.
Only in this way will we be able
to affirm that a session of psychoactive therapy can be described as one of
the most curative experiences that a human being can experience. It will produce
an excellent path towards the most intense experience of interior viewing. Like
Ann Shulgin states, “What was pleasing to you before, which was nothing more
than a beautiful poetic concept, will acquire suddenly a real form and it will
become part of you for the rest of your life.”
The
most resulting effect, or let’s say the catalyst of the other effects, is that
mentally one lives the dissolution of the sentiment of fear, especially the
fear produced by some type of neurotic base.
At
the disappearance of this fear, we see ourselves liberated from the necessity
to maintain our mask and this drives the weakening of the ego and the flourishing
of our depth. A calm acceptance appears of who we are and a feeling of compassion
towards our own selves, while accepting all the aspects of our own nature, kind
and selfish, gentile and vengeful, amiable and contemptible. In other words,
it makes the majority of people feel liberated and content in relation to themselves.
Other
consequence of the disappearance of fear is that it permits the growth of emotional
sentiments based on love and empathy towards others. This is very well-known
and because of this MDMA is also called the “Love Drug.” One feels the opening
of the heart and allows the flow of love.
In
general, it gives us the capacity to feel emotions more clearly.
Some
people succeed in experiencing a mental silence that causes the increase of
the conscience of finding oneself in the present. Basically our interior monologue
starts to quiet down and then disappears. There are moments when we don’t think
of anything in particular. At the same time we enter into the present. The past
and the future vanish without leaving a trace.
Facilitation
of deep and true communication.
Sensation
of continued lucidity.
Treatment for drug addiction
with Ayahuasca
Psychoactive forest alkaloids
The protocol for Ayahuasca treatment
for drug addiction includes traditional indigenous medicine to boost the immune
system and address physical problems that appear during the treatment; a diet
with a balanced vitamin regimen to bring the body back to it's form; therapies,
including psychotheraphy and behavioral science to reshape the patterns that
will be loosened through the abreactions performed by the Ayahuasca sessions;
psychological evaluations; applied creativity and the ritualistic use of Ayahuasca
as a tool for transpersonal therapy starting from the second day.
All medicines and preparations used for the treatment should be natural.
