It´s very possible that this place was a kind of Mecca for Andean man furing pre-Columbian times. We can still find the remains of his presence in the archaeological ruins in this area know by the locals as the “ancient city” of Chulucanitas.
The outskirts of the lagoons are uninhabited and there are no vestiges of any civilization, by which we conclude that these ruins were probably part of ceremonial temples

Table
All through his life, the shaman collects and prepares his “objects of power” .This objects are handled from a central location, which is the mesa or the complete set of objects of power, which allow all the participants in the ceremony to become connected to the shaman, and through him and by the ingestion of a sacred drink also become connected with the divine. The table is set in a particular way, in which good and evil are balanced equally. The right side of the table, which corresponds to the Good, is also called “the side of temptation” because its qualities or negatives forces can capture souls or energy from the participants of the ceremony.
