high in the Andes at almost 8000 feet, it is a place
of unforgettable sunrises and beautiful moonlit
nights.
The Machu Picchu Santuary Lodge is the only hotel
permitted within the boundaries of the Santuary.
Set in its own gardens, the hotel overlooks the
peaks of Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu and the Urubamba

Hotel
Monasterio
In the heart of the Inca capital Cuzco overlooking
the square of Nazarenas, is the Hotel Monasterio.
Originally built in 1595 on the site of the Inca
Amaru Qhala Palace, the monastery was given the
seal of royal approval in 1692.
It was converted into a hotel in 1995 and was recently
been acquired by Orient Express Hotel. Today it
still retains the distinctive character of a historic
building with four original 6th century cloisters
around a courtyard, whit a centerpiece of a 300
year old cedar tree.
